Welcome to another special Hugh Hewitt show with Christopher Hitchens, Vanity Fair columnist and bestselling author of God is Not Great. In this show Hugh and Christopher discuss the war against the and now a war within the war.
Hugh begins on the topic of ‘Joe Wilson & Valerie Plame’ written by Hitchens. Mr. Hitchens tries to close the case and Hugh demands for Hitchens to send questions which he will ask Joe’s layer later on the days show. Why does Joe refuse to mention the name of Wissam al-Zahawi, that’s Saddam’s chief nuclear envoy, negotiator, and general goon? Is Wissam a trustworthy person?
Hugh then moves to conversation to the war within the war. A group of people from Shiia and islamic republic of Iran were on our side against Saddam Hussein in Iraq. And the Iranians are not going to automatically win there, but they have made inroads. On the other side, they fight with absolute conviction against theocracy and against Baathism, and have created a very thriving, prosperous and hopeful area of the country. Although it’s an extraordinary success the war within the war within the war still goes on.
Finally, moving onto another war against war which is between Hezbollah & Israel. Catch Hitchens’ observations as he explores this war against war and hear his thoughts about who is going to win the race?
