Do you think it is possible that this regime can be toppled in the next few weeks? – Asked by Hugh Hewitt. Mr Hitchens was surprised to hear this question, comparing it to reality. We could topple the regime anytime we wanted to if we were prepared to invade Iran, but today’s scenario is different. I think the answer to the question are we prepared to do so under any thinkable American government is no. That was Mr Hitchens analysis about the current situation.
Finally Hitchens criticized Obama’s speech in Cairo. As it is not possible to think Israel as be our proxy in grave matters like this according to current relationship with them. And the geographical reality doesn’t allow them to go for any strike against Iran easily. So, it’s time for coming forward and leading with dignity as the world is waiting on Obama’s steps.
